FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

IF YOUR QUESTION IS NOT LISTED HERE, PLEASE VISIT OUR CONTACT PAGE TO SEND US YOUR INQUIRY.

1) ARE YOU CERTIFIED ORGANIC?

Yes, we have been certified organic since 2004 by OEFFA.

2) DO YOU USE GMO'S (GENETICALLY MODIFIED ORGANISMS)?

No, GMO's are not allowed in certified organic products.

3) HOW DO I ORDER ORGANIC PLANTS?

You can order your transplants online.  Transplants are available in the spring with the typical deadline for orders at the end of March.  Extra plants will be available on plant pick up days but will be subject to availability.

4) WHAT IF I CAN'T PICK UP MY PLANTS ON THE PICK UP WEEKEND?

Contact us and we will be happy to try to arrange another time for your pick up.

5) WHAT TYPE OF PAYMENT DO YOU TAKE?

Most orders are paid by a check sent in the mail but we do have credit/debit card service available for a $3.00 charge which helps us to offset the cost that they charge us.

6) WHAT KIND OF ORGANIC FERTILIZERS CAN I USE IN MY GARDEN?

Fertilizers are typically listed with 3 numbers like 5-2-3 which is N-P-K (Nitrogen-Phosphorous-Potassium). Blood meal, feather meal and fish meal work well for adding nitrogen (N) to your plants.  Bone meal is a good source of (P) phosphorous and calcium.  Greensand, kelp meal and wood ash are sources of (K) potassium (potash).  We use a combination of these in our potting soil.
